Killam was a returning client who came back in part because of how much they enjoyed working with our proprietary Content Management System (CMS). Our CMS allows you to revise, update and edit your website on your own, easily and efficiently.
Killam’s main website presented several challenges. They had numerous target audiences to communicate to. They had a sizable amount of content that required a simple, straightforward navigation. They needed a clearly visible apartment search tool since the analytics stated that apartment hunting was one of the main uses for their site. And they wanted a design that established a more modern and professional feel than their previous website.
Solution
We designed a website with a clean, modern feel that incorporated Killam’s brand colours and featured a simple yet elegant navigation. A scrolling header on the home page allowed us to feature the main pillars of their business one at a time, as well as set a professional tone through the use of select photography. And an apartment search tool was placed on the home page that linked to unit pages providing floor plans, detailed information on the units and buildings, as well as interactive maps of their neighbourhoods with walk scores.
Result
The resulting design fulfils on Killam’s desire to have a modern, professional presence online. The clear, simple navigation allows visitors to find information quickly and easily. The apartment search tool makes finding availabilities a complete cinch. And all of the major aspects of Killam’s business are featured on the homepage without ever being overwhelming.
