The challenge was to communicate the benefits of renting with Killam Properties to University students, using a limited budget. The insight was that students had no one to mother them when going off to university, and Killam could help.

Rum Runners sells rum cake – some of the best you’ve ever had. But they also sell Nova Scotia’s history (we were pretty much the rum running capitol of the world during prohibition) and their fine baked goods are considered edible souvenirs.

McDonald’s needed to remind everyone that there’s no better place to go for on-the-go snacks during the summer than your local golden arches. So we delivered a campaign that included this radio spot to dramatize the point.

We’re especially proud of the Silver Lion we won at the Cannes International Advertising Festival for our McDonald’s ‘Fries’ and ‘Burger’ newspaper ads. The campaign had previously been the winning entry in a Canada-wide contest run by the Globe and Mail.
