Bill Murphy
PRESIDENT
If Bill wasn’t in advertising, it’s entirely possible he’d be a beekeeper. That’s not because he has an insatiable sweet tooth, a love of the outdoors, or a bizarre fetish with insects (although any of those may be true). No, he loves to see a thing come to life, to nurture its growth and take pride in its success. And over the last 25 years, that’s just what Bill’s been doing. His strategic thinking and leadership skills have nurtured not only his fellow professionals, but brands (and agencies) as well. Some of the accounts Bill has worked on include ALC, The Salvation Army and PEI Tourism, and he has a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Francis Xavier. He’s yet to have kept any bees.

Bruce Whelan
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Bruce will be your creative grand puba. The man behind the curtain. The buck stops here-er. He’s worked on some of the biggest brands in Atlantic Canada, and produced some of the most awarded campaigns to ever come out of the region, with both national and international recognition. His passion is for creating simple, smart work that captivates its audience. That, and for mixed chocolates (you know, those little ones where you reach in and you don’t know what you’re going to get – mmmmmm). In his spare time he loves to read about what other people like doing in their spare time.

Emily Huner
MANAGER – FINANCIAL OPERATIONS
Emily knows numbers. She knows the number 42, which is how many kilometres are in a marathon. And she knows the number 6, which is how many marathons she has run. Emily’s strength in numbers is what helps her run our finance department all by herself. And her endurance doesn’t hurt either. We’re very happy to have her to count on.

Krista White
MEDIA DIRECTOR
Krista knows what colour underwear you have on. It’s quite likely she also knows when you’ll be washing them and with which detergent. Now, she’s either a social deviant, or one of the best media planners this side of the Atlantic. We’re hoping it’s the latter. It’s her job to find out as much about people as possible. To know where they live and breathe. That way, her media plans, and the campaigns they’re a part of, connect with people on an intimate level. And after a decade at the agency working with our biggest clients, she’s turned it into an art form. By the way, she says your tag is showing.

Shelley McAleenan
ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
Shelley has experience providing strategic thinking and account management for a wide range of clients. She began her career working across a variety of agency departments, gaining valuable skills in advertising, media, public relations and events management. She soon moved into an account role where she had the opportunity to focus on her real love – advertising. Shelley has an excellent ability to keep a brief on strategy, a budget on track, and takes pride in producing great work for her clients. Shelley is a graduate from the University of New Brunswick and holds a BBA in Marketing.

Beverley Gallant
DESIGNER
We think it all started when Beverley was given a toy makeup set as a child. But for whatever reason, it seems to be her life’s work to make things look beautiful. It lead her to both a Graphic Design Diploma from McKenzie College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Mount Allison University. It lead her to us, where she takes every piece she’s given and elevates it to true commercial art. And occasionally, it leads her into her neighbour’s yard with suggestions on how to improve the garden (always awkward). Beverley’s worked on accounts like the Nova Scotia Department of Health, McDonald’s and Canada Post.

Dave Courtney
TECHNOLOGY MANAGER
Dave knows how things tick. Without Dave we would still be printing with Letterpress and sending hand-written letters to our clients, like back in the Mad Men days (which may be fun, but not nearly as efficient). Dave has extensive experience in systems architecture throughout Canada and the United States. Over the past 20 years his work in different corporate infrastructure has resulted in a strategic approach to system planning that delivers solid targeted results. He believes that department development and inherent cultivation of information stewardship brings strength to productivity, client delivery and profitability. Dave has been part of the Cossette team for almost as long as the internet has been around; he knows where it’s been and where it’s going, and makes sure we’re ticking in the right direction.
